I built Studiero to help students plan, focus and practise for exams

I wanted to make study tasks, reading time and exam preparation easier to manage. I described the problem to an AI coding assistant and improved the prototype through testing and feedback. Studiero brought together a study planner, an adjustable focus timer and local practice questions, with subject notes to support learning.

What’s left to make it real
Next, I would test Studiero with more students, on mobile devices and with screen readers. Data currently stays in one browser, without accounts or synchronisation. Exam practice uses three local example questions, not a connected AI model. Imported timetables need manual checking; the app has no live connection to school systems.

- ChatGPT, Codex, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Visual Studio Code
- How
- I used ChatGPT and Codex for brainstorming, code generation, debugging and improvements, with HTML, CSS and JavaScript in Visual Studio Code. I reviewed the design and features and used feedback, including feedback from another student. The English presentation is assembled from actual app screenshots with synthetic example data and a synthetic English voice; it is not a continuous screen recording.
- The prompt
- How can a simple, user-friendly app help students keep track of study tasks, structure their study time and practise for exams? Continue with the existing Studiero code. Prioritise the study planner, focus mode and exam practice. Clearly state when practice questions are local examples rather than AI-generated.
