Cookie policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
No advertising cookies, and nothing before you say yes. Two cookies are needed for signing in and voting. Statistics cookies are set only if you accept them in the banner, and you can change your mind any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
1. Needed for the site to work
| Name | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| vo_session | Keeps you signed in. Only set when you sign in. | 30 days, or until you sign out |
| vo_voter | A random number, set only when you vote in a vibe off or back a challenge without an account, so your vote counts once. It says nothing about who you are. | 1 year |
| vo-theme | Your light or dark choice, in your browser’s local storage. Never sent to us. | Until you clear it |
2. Statistics — only if you accept
If you accept, PostHog (EU cloud, Frankfurt) sets a cookie named ph_…_posthog with a random ID, kept for up to one year, so we can see which pages are used and how people move through the site. No ads, no selling, and no session recordings. If you decline, nothing is set and nothing is sent; your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage as vo-analytics.
Change your mind any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. See the privacy policy.
3. Turning cookies off
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Without vo_session you cannot stay signed in; everything else still works. Declining statistics cookies changes nothing on the site.
4. Changes
If we add a cookie, we will list it here, and ask for your consent first unless the site cannot work without it.
