I built a social feed that stops when you’re caught up

I wanted a photo-sharing app that didn’t pull people into endless scrolling, so I asked Claude to build a feed limited to followed accounts. It came together in 1 minute 33 seconds as CaughtUp, a prototype with a clear endpoint, focus controls, and a daily timer.
What made it work
Claude generated the first working version in 1 minute 33 seconds, and I haven’t found any bugs.

Yours goes up next to @osci360’s as a vibe off, and @osci360 is told. Credit for the idea stays with them.
How it was madeThe prompt, tools, time, what’s left to make it real.
What’s left to make it real
CaughtUp is a static prototype: posts and settings are stored only in the browser, with no login, sync, or backend. A real shared app would need account security, server-side storage and moderation, and a live social graph; its accounts and post images are fictional demo content.

- How
- I used Claude’s free version with a prompt to make a social media site without doomscrolling, Explore pages, or suggested posts. It generated a plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript prototype in 1 minute 33 seconds.
