Even
In a vibe off: Split the dinner bill without the awkward maths
One big number: what each person pays. Bill, people, tip — and a line to paste straight into the group chat.
What made it work
Saying no to features. It splits evenly — that's the whole app, and it's faster for it.

Build your own version
Yours goes up next to @jonasbuilds’s as a vibe off, and @jonasbuilds is told. Credit for the idea stays with them.
How it was madeThe prompt, tools, time, what’s left to make it real.
What’s left to make it real
Remember the last bill, a currency switch, and the phone's share sheet instead of copy.

- Splitly by @majaholm — see the two side by side
- How
- Built in Cursor in one sitting. I wrote the three inputs I wanted and the look (dark, monospace, one loud colour) and let it scaffold, then cut everything else it added.
- The prompt
- A dark, monospace bill splitter with only three inputs: bill, number of people, tip. Show the per-person amount huge. Add a 'copy for the group chat' button. In Cursor, HTMLTook 45 minutes
- Hard parts
- Rounding. Rounding down leaves whoever paid short, so it always rounds each share up.
